Why is One Piece on hiatus?
On Sunday, October 13, 2024, the series took a significant break after episode 1122 of the Egghead Arc, leaving viewers in suspense. This new announcement, shared on social media by Toei Animation in an open letter to fans, aims to prioritize the manga. Indeed, the anime was gradually catching up with Eiichiro Oda's original paper version. A break was therefore necessary to allow for better timing in the anime adaptation, and to improve the content and quality of the episodes.
Episode 1122 Summary
Episode 1122 featured crucial moments on Hachinosu Island, also known as Pirate Island, where dramatic tensions between the Navy and pirates unfolded, involving key characters like Vice-Admiral Garp, who came to rescue Koby, held by Blackbeard's crew.
Garp and the Marine assistance will notably be hit by a colossal attack from Avalo Pizzaro.
The latter, holder of the Island-Island Fruit or Shima Shima no Mi, will see his plan thwarted by Koby's newly awakened power, who, after an emotional flashback about his journey, unleashes the rage within him to protect his mentor.
The episode ends, leaving Garp laughing heartily but wounded, on the ground, due to his injuries from his previous fight against Aokiji.

Retracing the reunion of the Straw Hat Pirates on the Sabaody Archipelago after the Summit War, the story is told by a young girl, who admires Nami and embarks on a small adventure. This narrative is a true exploration of interactions between ordinary characters sharing their feelings about our favorite pirates!

One Piece Log - Fish-Man Island Saga
A special re-release of the Fish-Man Island Arc has been available since October 27, 2024, which enhances the visuals with newly added scenes and offers Dolby Atmos sound.
In total, 21 episodes promising deeper immersion and additional scenes for a better understanding of the arc's stakes. This re-release will notably allow fans to rediscover this narrative arc by offering a new experience, with optimized visual and audio quality.
